Gears for Change Initiative works on the front-line of local Community development in Juja Sub County,
Kiambu County - Kenya.
Project Activities:
Forums: organized regularly with local and regional leaders and youth chapter members.
Training: club members have opportunities to attend training hosted by the organization and its partners.
Conferences: the organization convenes conferences and workshops and lobbies for opportunities for the members to attend external ones.
Youth Camps: focusing on building the organization and individual capacity.
Team Building: to enhance intra-team relationships.
Peer Help Platform: our network of peer mentors that offers psycho-social support members.
Social Media Advocacy: we harness the power of social media to create social advocacy on youth issues.
WHO WE ARE
Gears for Change Initiative works on the front line of local development. This is a youth led Community based organization working at the grass root to see young women and men empowered, uplifted, and inspired.
We boast of having numerous memberships of vibrant, futuristic, energetic youth who are eager to invest and grow their lives into gainful lives.
This Community Based Organization began in May 2020 as a Youth Group ie Theta Youth Group. It has thus far grown into a Community Based Organization registered at the Social Development Office in Juja Sub County.
